The project will bring 389 rooms and suites. It will also feature five food and drink outlets, as well as a gym, a spa, and pools. The hotel will also be home to three meeting rooms.
The new property brings Rotana’s total tally in the Kingdom to seven hotels and 2,087 keys with a strong development pipeline.
Slated to open in January 2025, Grand Hyatt Makkah will be the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Makkah and the second Grand Hyatt hotel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, joining Grand Hyatt Al Khobar which is slated to open in 2020.
The property is part a 64-storey skyscraper, home to residential apartments, and STC Academy, the Saudi Telecom Company’s technology and leadership academy.
Comprised of 242 rooms and apartments,, the hotel includes six restaurants and bars, and diverse facilities including a pool, a gym and a spa.
JW Marriott Muscat features 304 guest rooms and suites. It also has 2,500 square meters of banqueting space, two large ballrooms and six meeting rooms.
Key openings in the region include the addition of Ramada Encore by Wyndham Muscat Al Ghubra, expected in March 2020.
