Dubai leads hotel rooms’ pipeline with 42,000 rooms under construction, Makkah is second with 26,000

According to the Middle East/Africa Hotel Supply Development Update released by STR, Dubai tops the region in terms of hotel rooms under development with 41,846 room in its pipeline.

It is followed by Makkah which has 25,619, and Doha, which is adding 10,228 rooms to its inventory.

In terms of increase, Makkah is on top of the list, as its expected new rooms will boost its current supply by 71 percent. It is followed by Riyadh which is increasing its current offering by 48 percent, with 6,244 rooms currently under construction.
