Chef Shadi Abu Khadija is of the mind that, “Hospitality is more than what we do, it is who we are.”Being re-elected president of the JCA’s comes as no surprise considering that his love for the profession has only grown stronger and could be traced back to his childhood. His passion saw him taking different culinary postings, which included Hard Rock Café Jordan and Planet Hollywood Riyadh. He also partook the duties of judging member at various culinary events, managing partner of Sekra Boutique Burger and executive chef of the Akkawi Group Jordan.
The Jordanian Chefs’ Association (JCA), aims at organizing events and creating exposure for local culinary professionals. JCA got the official governmental recognition license in 2013 and its WACS membership in 2014. Its objective is to also provide educational opportunities for Jordanian chefs in form of courses, seminars and product exhibitions, in addition to tackling topics related to food safety and hygiene. Furthermore, its aims to grow chefs’ knowledge working at restaurants and hotels throughout the country, as well as foster social interaction among its members and strengthen ties with other regional and international chefs.Add to Favorites
