Three new hotels in Abu Dhabi |
| |
This will be a new landmark on Abu Dhabi’s signature Corniche. Conceptualised by award-winning Broadway Malyan, one of Europe’s most successful architectural firms, the beach resort, convention centre and office/residential complex, will be just east of the capital’s existing Hilton Abu Dhabi property and designed as a striking, contemporary structure.
The development will have a five-star hotel managed by Conrad Hotels, the luxury brand within the Hilton Family, furnished apartments, a premium office building, 3,500 square metres of retail, and an expansive convention centre and health club and spa, all set around a spectacular central lagoon.
A joint venture between TDIC and Abu Dhabi’s Al Mazrui Holding Company the complex will be built at a cost of AED 1.4 billion (US $400 million).
ALDAR Properties PJSC have announced a joint venture with The National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH), to develop a premium gated resort and residential development on the two islands located off the tip of the Intercontinental Hotel on the western coast of Abu Dhabi.
The smaller of the two islands known as Coconut Island, is covered with coconut trees and has a natural sand bar surrounded by clear turquoise waters providing an idyllic setting for the resort.
The development will link the two islands to increase the water front and allow for the formation of a lagoon, the central feature of the development.
The architectural design combines Middle Eastern and Eastern-influenced minimalism.
The 5-star luxury resort comprises 128 guest rooms, two Royal Suites, 10 private villas and 20 Club Suites designed over multiple levels with landscaped terraces. The resort will feature a health and fitness club, a spa, 4 first class restaurants and its own private Marina for VIP guests and hotel excursions.
The resort will open in 2009.
This urban destination is adjacent to the UAE’s largest sports stadium – host to major international events. Clearly visible from Airport Road and overlooking public gardens, ‘Bridgeway at Zayed Sports City’ includes a five star hotel, serviced & residential apartments and shopping complex.
It is close to Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, and the new Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and is less than 20 minutes driving from the city’s main business district – enhancing its appeal for business travellers.
Due for completion in 2009, the complex is designed as a peaceful city retreat, and will be distinguished by unique design and architecture, crowned by a fabric tensile roof running throughout the project, with the grounds dotted with landscaped gardens and water features.
A joint venture between TDIC and Abu Dhabi’s Al Farida Group, one of the region’s most expansive and diversified investment conglomerates, the development will be constructed at a cost of AED 500 million (US $136 million).
