“We have reached a new phase in tourism in Lebanon, and if we maintained the same pace, we will reach two million visitors, just 10 percent less than the best performing years we’ve witnessed,” said the Lebanese Minister of Tourism, Avedis Guidaanian during a visit to the Presidential Palace today.
Tony Ramy, president of the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Night-clubs & Pastries in Lebanon said that this season witnessed varied inbound tourism the country did not see since 2011. “GCC tourists had three spots throughout the year: February, Fitr and Adha holidays. However, their stays were shorter with less expenditure.” He added that that expats added a dynamism to the scenery.
