Phoenicia Hotel Beirut and the Lebanese Food Bank, a non-profit organization established to reduce malnutrition in Lebanon, have recently launched a new partnership in a signing ceremony which took place at the hotel.
Commenting on this recent partnership, Phoenicia Hotel’s GM, Manrique Rodriguez stated, ‘It is a privilege for us to be part of the Lebanese Food Bank and we are very proud to consider ourselves partners. It is truly interesting to see how one hotel with 800 colleagues are able to support the people in need. We are genuinely surrounded by love, which drives us to try and make a difference in other people’s lives.”
Following daily buffets at Mosaic Restaurant, private functions at Eau De Vie and in Phoenicia’s banqueting spaces, foods such as pastries, dried goods and items that are non-easily perishable will be donated in a process monitored by the Food and Safety Manager in coordination with the Kitchen Chef and the Head Waiter, all of whom are HACCP certified for food hygiene and safety.
Mohamed Azakir, Senior HR Leader, further noted “We value social responsibility, starting from employment and developing the skills of the youth, educating communities to go the extra mile to give back to society. We are very proud to join hands with the Lebanese Food Bank in the fight against hunger and in making a difference in people’s lives in this community.”Add to Favorites
