Save Beirut, a Dubai-based hospitality initiative, announced a total of AED 1,171,686 (USD 318,000) raised on one day, Sunday 30th August 2020, to help rebuild the city and care for the people affected by the Beirut blast.

84 restaurants, cafes, fast food outlets and delivery platforms across the Emirate joined forces for one of the biggest and most effective charitable campaigns the region has ever seen.

With a collaborative approach, the initiative brought Dubai’s hospitality industry and entire ecosystem together to support the important cause and celebrate the influence of the Lebanese culture and impact it has on the sector. By working with an eclectic blend of premium and affordable options, the project ensured that it was accessible for all budgets.

Coordinated by 7 Management, Save Beirut provided an innovative and accessible way to drive donations for a worthy and important cause. The board was made up of well-respected regional organizations, including Al Tamimi & Company as legal partners, Garage 366 as the Marketing & Communications partner and Reserve Out for brand onboarding.

The team behind the campaign expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude for the overwhelming response. The impressive amount of participating venues, partners that invested their time, products and expertise, incredible exposure across the mass media, outdoor advertising and across all digital platforms; as well as every donation, booking, and order.

Save Beirut is licensed under the Emirates Red Crescent, the UAE affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The organization oversees all charitable donations to ensure they are transparent and sent directly to the people that need it most.
