Hilton’s three new hotels slated to open in Oman in 2026

Barr Al Jissah Oman

Hilton announces three new hotel signings in Muscat under its Waldorf Astoria, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton brands. Together with the Zubair Corporation, these openings are slated for January 2026, marking Hilton’s plan to double its footprint in the sultanate.

A major milestone for Hilton in Oman

Significantly, this milestone agreement introduces the Waldorf Astoria brand to Oman for the first time, symbolizing a new era of luxury hospitality. Moreover, the signings underscore Hilton’s long-term commitment to expanding its regional portfolio and strengthening the nation’s tourism ambitions. The three hotels will be located within Barr Al Jissah, Muscat’s most iconic waterfront destination, surrounded by rugged mountains and secluded beaches. Strategically situated just 40 minutes from Muscat International Airport, the development is envisioned as a world-class leisure and business retreat.

Carlos Khneisser, chief development officer, Middle East & Africa, Hilton, conveyed his pride in the forthcoming projects. He said: “The debut of Waldorf Astoria in Oman, alongside the new Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton properties, marks a significant new chapter for Hilton in the sultanate. Oman’s rich culture, heritage and natural landscapes continue to attract discerning travelers. These new properties will enable us to meet that growing demand. Together with The Zubair Corporation, we are proud to bring this transformative destination to life.”

Waldorf Astoria Muscat Al Husn

Al Husn Hotel Muscat will undergo a complete renovation ahead of its rebranding as Waldorf Astoria Muscat Al Husn, before its opening. The hotel will feature 180 refined guest rooms and suites, alongside five exceptional dining venues celebrating global and local gastronomy. In addition, the Waldorf Astoria Spa will offer a sanctuary of rejuvenation, complemented by exclusive access to a private beach and serene surroundings. The debut will introduce Waldorf Astoria’s signature service and timeless elegance to Oman’s capital city for the very first time.

Hilton Muscat Al Bandar

Meanwhile, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar will open under the flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, offering 198 rooms and suites. The property will include six dining venues, a grand ballroom, extensive meeting spaces and a comprehensive wellness center with signature treatments.

DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha

The third property, DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha, will provide a relaxed, family-friendly stay featuring 302 contemporary rooms and four dining outlets. Expected to open in January 2026 with the others, the hotel will embody DoubleTree’s signature hospitality and welcoming approach.

World-Class dining and leisure

Collectively, the three properties will offer 15 dining venues featuring Asian, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and international cuisines. Furthermore, shared leisure facilities will include 600 meters of private beach, a lazy river, multiple pools, tennis courts and water sports activities.

Currently, Hilton operates three hotels across Oman: Hilton Garden Inn Muscat Al Khuwair; Hilton Salalah; and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum. With these slated openings, Hilton strengthens its role as a key partner in Oman’s evolving tourism and hospitality landscape.
