World of Coffee trade show to move to Milan

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced that the 2022 World of Coffee trade show, originally scheduled to take place in Warsaw, will move to Milan, Italy. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has forced thousands of Ukrainians to seek refuge in Poland, including at the PTAK convention center where World of Coffee was scheduled to take place. With the event moving to a new location in Milan, 100 percent of the revenue from World of Coffee ticket sales will be donated to Ukrainian coffee businesses and professionals.

While the circumstances are regrettable, the World of Coffee is back to Italy, the birthplace of the espresso. This will be the first time World of Coffee travels to Milan. SCA is partnering with the Milano Convention Center. The five World Coffee  Championships—Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, Cezve/Ibrik, and Roasting—will also be held in  Milan, June 23-25. Coffee professionals from around the globe can look forward to everything Milan has to offer and the hospitality of the local coffee community represented by the SCA Italy Chapter.
