Maison Prunelle is set to host a one-of-a-kind celebration in Beirut on October 16 to mark World Bread Day in collaboration with Exotica and renowned pastry chef Charles Azar. The exclusive event will spotlight the artistry of bread combining gastronomy, craftsmanship and design in an experience never before celebrated this way in Lebanon.
Held at Maison Prunelle’s Beirut restaurant, the evening will bring together select guests from Lebanon’s hospitality, culinary and design communities to explore the cultural and creative significance of bread through a refined sensory journey.
Art, bread, chocolate and fine design intertwined
The celebration will open with a welcome drink while chefs Rody Rizk and Charles Azar will be working together during the reception and dinner on the creation of a masterpiece crafted from bread, sugar and chocolate. The unveiling of this edible artwork will take place at the end of the dinner embodying the event’s theme of bread artistry and showcasing how a humble ingredient can be transformed into a true work of edible art.
Guests will then enjoy an elegant gala dinner inspired by bread’s versatility and symbolic role in culinary traditions. Every detail of the evening has been designed to celebrate creativity and craftsmanship with the space decorated with bread, candles and floral compositions by Exotica creating a warm and poetic setting.
A first for Lebanon’s culinary scene
While World Bread Day is observed globally each year on October 16 this celebration marks the first time Lebanon honors it through an immersive and artistic experience. The collaboration between Maison Prunelle, Exotica and chef Charles Azar reflects a shared vision to highlight the connection between food, design and emotion.
“Bread is more than a staple; it is a symbol of creation, community and culture,” said chef Charles Azar. “Through this event we aim to celebrate its meaning and beauty while presenting it through the lens of art.”
The evening will also feature an exclusive customizable gift for invitees adding a thoughtful touch to the celebration.
A celebration of craftsmanship and culture
For Maison Prunelle the World Bread Day celebration reinforces its commitment to promoting Lebanese creativity and cultural expression. By collaborating with Exotica and leading culinary figures the brand continues to bridge design, gastronomy and contemporary craftsmanship in meaningful ways.
