Jordan’s hospitality sector
Jordan’s hotels and resorts experienced higher occupancy rates, especially in luxury and mid-range categories, during the first half of 2025. Moreover, growing investments improved infrastructure and services to satisfy modern traveler demands effectively. Furthermore, restaurants and hospitality providers benefited directly from rising international visitor numbers and higher spending levels. These developments also generated new employment opportunities throughout Jordan’s hospitality and tourism sectors nationwide.
Jordan’s challenges
Nevertheless, tourism revenue declined by 3.7 percent in June 2025, mainly due to regional geopolitical tensions impacting visitor confidence. However, this minor setback did not alter the overall positive growth trend for the year’s first half significantly. The government responded by enhancing security measures and increasing promotional activities nationwide. These efforts aim to sustain visitor confidence and diversify Jordan’s tourism offerings moving forward effectively.
Jordan’s future
The Central Bank of Jordan data confirms steady tourism growth supporting hospitality industry expansion across the country. With ongoing investments and strategic planning, Jordan is positioned to strengthen its competitive advantage as a Middle East travel hub. Moreover, diverse visitor markets provide resilience to the tourism economy’s future prospects. Jordan’s rich heritage, natural beauty, and improving infrastructure continue to attract travelers from around the world.
