Sam Ioannidis at the helm of the biggest Four Seasons hotel in the region

A seasoned hospitality veteran, Sam Ioannidis has been with Four Seasons for three decades. Since his appointment as general manager of Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, he has overseen the resort’s transformation into the largest Four Seasons in the region and one of the biggest worldwide.

Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh has doubled in size. What can you tell us about the expansion?
The multimillion-dollar expansion brings an unprecedented level of luxury to Egypt’s Red Sea shores. As part of this transformation, we are growing with an astonishing 115 new guest rooms and suites — with a choice of modern design or traditional Arabian décor — five authentic dining experiences and lavish event spaces for 1,000 guests.
Along a kilometer stretch of private beachfront, guests can look forward to enhanced recreational facilities, including three new outdoor swimming pools and a new PADI dive center that offers access to 76 world-class dive sites, together with a two-story fitness center and tennis and squash courts.

What impact has the resort had on the local hospitality scene?
The resort has been completely reimagined to transform the local hospitality landscape by introducing new levels of luxury to the destination. Since opening nearly 20 years ago, Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh has been the leading luxury resort on the peninsula, a favorite holiday destination for families, friends and couples from around the world.
Now as we embark, together with our visionary ownership partners of TMG, on one of the company’s most ambitious expansion and enhancement programs ever, Sharm El Sheikh is poised to become a truly world-class destination in an authentic, luxury setting that only Four Seasons can create.

How does Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh appeal to guests seeking a luxury stay?
We can’t wait to introduce this exciting destination to a new generation of traveler from across the globe. For the many guests who come back again and again, we now have the opportunity to offer elevated experiences. Over the years, we’ve watched families grow, celebrated important milestones together, set the stage for the most romantic moments, explored the abundant natural world and immersed ourselves in desert culture. Personalization has always been a cornerstone of Four Seasons’ intuitive service; our peoples’ passion for delivering extraordinary experiences shines through, creating special moments that attract visitors to this stunning jewel on the Red Sea coastline.
