IHG introduces its luxury brand InterContinental in Morocco

IHG Hotels & Resorts has recently signed an agreement with Immohold Hospitality to introduce the InterContinental Hotels and Resorts brand in Rabat. The signing is aligned with IHG’s strategy to build on its luxury portfolio and expand into key gateway markets across the MEA region.  

Expected to open in Q1 2022, the five-star luxury hotel will be situated in the heart of Morocco’s capital. 

InterContinental Rabat will feature 156 guest rooms, 950 square meters of meeting space, a spa and extensive health and fitness facilities. With five distinct dining destinations, guests will be able to enjoy a variety of cuisines, from authentic to contemporary options.

IHG currently operates 116 hotels across seven brands in the Middle East and Africa, including: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, voco™and Six Senses with a further 53 in the development pipeline due to open within the next three to five years.
