W Hotels is set to make a bold entrance into Saudi Arabia with the opening of W Riyadh KAFD in May 2026. The highly anticipated debut marks the brand’s first property in the kingdom.

Strategically located in the heart of the King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh’s flagship financial and lifestyle destination, W Riyadh KAFD is envisioned as a high-energy urban escape. The hotel is designed to become a vibrant social and dining hub, reflecting the city’s rapid transformation and growing appetite for contemporary experiences.

Design and accommodation

The property will feature 210 guestrooms, including 17 suites, two penthouses and the signature W Penthouse. Moreover, each room and suite is thoughtfully designed to balance bold character with refined local influences. Furthermore, layered textures, contemporary materials and expressive details aim to create immersive spaces that mirror Riyadh’s ambition and creative momentum.

In addition, social energy will sit at the core of the hotel experience. Six distinct dining and lifestyle venues, including the brand’s iconic W Lounge, will anchor the property as a day-to-night destination. Moreover, each venue is conceived as a social stage, blending expressive interiors with immersive culinary concepts.

W Riyadh KAFD will introduce the brand’s latest global evolution, defined by detail-driven design and the elevated Whatever Whenever service philosophy. The approach focuses on personalization, spontaneity and creating memorable moments. Commenting on the upcoming opening, Janine Gerlich, GM of W Riyadh KAFD, said the hotel is set to introduce a new rhythm to the capital. She noted that Riyadh’s transformation is fueling strong demand for bold, experience-led spaces that celebrate creativity, individuality and connection.

With its prime KAFD location, lifestyle driven positioning and focus on social connection, W Riyadh KAFD is poised to become a defining landmark on Riyadh’s hospitality landscape when it opens in May 2026.
