Meet Habib Saliba, owner of Horeca Experts SARL

We caught up with Habib Saliba, the man behind Horeca Experts SARL, to understand the company’s position in the market and the secrets behind its success.

Why did you launch Horeca Experts in 2010?

We identified a gap in the market behind the bar in terms of premium beverage solutions. Primarily, a comprehensive portfolio of syrups, liquors, sauces, fruit purees and powders for shakes and frappes was absent. In addition to a lack of a fine tea selection. Additionally, there was a need for significantly better service with more consistent follow up. Our industry passion and dedication to quality motivated us to establish Horeca Experts.

What specific products does Horeca Experts specialize in and how do they cater to the needs of the HORECA sector?

Horeca Experts is the exclusive distributor of 10 international premium brands. This includes 1883 Maison Routin and Joseph Cartron, setting Horeca Experts apart from others. Moreover, we are the only company in the market providing a comprehensive range of products behind the bar. This ensures client satisfaction while maintaining an excellent quality-price ratio.

How does Horeca Experts position itself as an influencer in the industry?

By offering menu development, training and consultancy services, we bolster our ability to support key players in the market. Additionally, this strengthens our portfolio with a long list of esteemed clients. Moreover, the quality of our brands, consistent service and comprehensive range ensures client satisfaction. Essentially, at Horeca Experts, we prioritize quality over volume.

What are some of the unique market challenges and opportunities in Lebanon and how are you addressing them?

Despite facing our biggest challenge during the economic crisis, like many companies in the Lebanese market, Horeca Experts persevered. We focused on maintaining continuous supply despite sourcing shortages by implementing a robust strategy. Our belief that quality would remain the key factor in retaining our strong client relationships proved correct. As a result, we now hold a larger market share post-crisis and we take pride in our accomplishments during these challenges.
