Rotana targets 23 hotels in Saudi Arabia by 2027

Rotana reaffirms its long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia by confirming a 10-property development pipeline that will expand its portfolio in the kingdom to 23 hotels by 2027.

Additionally, Rotana has signed a strategic MOU with the Saudi Tourism Authority. Specifically, the agreement focuses on joint marketing initiatives, destination campaigns, digital connectivity and loyalty program collaborations.

Eddy Tannous, chief operating officer at Rotana, explained this further. He said: “Saudi Arabia is Rotana’s fastest growing market and one of the most important in our portfolio. The pipeline we are confirming today reflects both the strength of demand and the depth of our commitment to growing here in a way that creates lasting value for our partners. Our agreement with the Saudi Tourism Authority is a natural extension of that commitment and together we look forward to bringing the best of Saudi hospitality to travelers around the world.”

The pipeline includes new Edge by Rotana properties across several Riyadh neighborhoods and in Jeddah’s historic Al Balad district. In addition, Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana and Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana will make their debut in Al Baha. Also, Centro by Rotana is set to enter Hail for the first time.

The expansion also includes the recently signed Centro Hail, developed in partnership with Alkhorayef Investment and Development Co. and the Tourism Development Fund. Located at the gateway to northern Saudi Arabia, the property will feature modern interiors, social spaces and flexible co-working areas.

Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector continues to gain momentum, welcoming an estimated 122 million visitors in 2025 and moving closer to its Vision 2030 target of attracting 150 million annual visitors.

The growing portfolio underscores Rotana’s confidence in Saudi Arabia’s evolving hospitality landscape and its ambition to grow alongside the kingdom’s emerging tourism destinations and travel corridors.
