Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra set to open in 2028 following strategic partnership between Accor and Arabian Hotels and Catering Company.

Accor and Arabian Hotels and Catering announced the signing of Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra. The signing marks a long-term strategic partnership repositioning one of Jeddah’s iconic hotels for the evolving Saudi hospitality market.

A legacy property in a prime Jeddah location

Originally opened in 1984, the property is located in Al Hamra district, having remained a prominent Jeddah address for decades there. Over the years, the hotel maintained relevance across business and leisure segments, supported by consistent performance and strategic location locally.

Extensive facilities and repositioned guest experience

Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra will feature 323 guestrooms, five dining venues, an exclusive club lounge and extensive meeting facilities onsite. Additionally, a large ballroom will host high-profile corporate, social and governmental events within the repositioned property in the future. Moreover, the hotel will undergo a phased renovation over 24 months to fully align with Swissotel brand standards across all areas. Significantly, the repositioning will introduce renewed design and guest experiences inspired by Swiss precision vitality and craftsmanship throughout the hotel.

Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030

The conversion supports Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, including tourism growth, economic diversification and international brand attraction across the kingdom. Once reopened in 2028, Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra will strengthen Accor’s presence within Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector for future growth.

Accor footprint in Saudi Arabia

Accor currently operates more than 40 hotels and branded residences across the kingdom, reflecting a diversified brand portfolio and scale. In addition, the group maintains a strong pipeline exceeding 60 committed projects supporting sustained expansion nationwide across multiple hospitality segments.

Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra is expected to set a new benchmark, honoring heritage while embracing modern hospitality standards regionally.
