Season two of MBC’s Top Chef kicked-off

 

After the success of the first season, ‘Top Chef’, the renowned TV show launched its second edition on MBC1.

 

During 13 episodes, 15 chefs of the Arab World will be competing in a variety of challenges, showing their culinary skills and making the most delicious pastries. One of them will be named the region’s ‘Top Chef’, and will win a cash prize of USD 100,000, in addition to a media coverage through Hospitality News ME, and  a participation in HORECA 2018, the region’s leading food show. The winner will also receive a trip to the UK, in addition to the Science and Knowledge Award through the Food Safety Diploma at the Royal Commission for Environmental Health in London, presented by Boecker.

Chefs will be evaluated by a jury consisting of the famous Chinese-Egyptian chef Bobby Shin, the Saudi chef Mona Moussali and the Lebanese chef Maroun Chedid.

 

Participants are: Ammar Al Barakati and Rakan Arifi from Saudi Arabia; Mohammed Al Mutawa from Kuwait; Abdullah Al Hashemi from Amman; and Ayda Shaaban and Salma Saleh and Mustafa Saif from Egypt; George Chertoni and Fadi Mneimneh and Serge Ghazzarian from Lebanon; Mahmoud Afranjieh from Syria; Aseel Sharif from Palestine; Shehrazad Ben Amara and Mehdi Shattah from Algeria; Mounir and Aziz from Morocco.
