Accor accelerates premium growth in Cairo with Swissôtel Cairo West

Accor signs Swissôtel Cairo West, marking a milestone expansion reinforcing Egypt as a priority growth market regionally.

The mixed-use development partners Saoud Urban Development, aligning strategic ambitions with Egypt Vision 2030 and sustainable urban growth.

Located in fast-growing West Cairo, the project addresses rising demand for integrated hospitality-branded residences and lifestyle destinations. Additionally, Swissôtel Cairo West will feature 180 rooms, delivering refined experiences shaped by Swiss precision, human care and wellbeing principles. Furthermore, guests will have access to three dining venues, a ballroom, flexible meeting spaces and comprehensive leisure wellness facilities. For example, amenities include a swimming pool, modern health club and spa designed to nurture vitality balance and renewal daily comfort.

Raki Phillips, regional president, PME, MEAT at Accor, celebrated the move. He said: “The introduction of Swissôtel in Cairo is fully aligned with our strategy to strengthen Accor’s premium portfolio in key gateway cities. Cairo continues to show strong momentum, driven by tourism growth, urban expansion and increasing demand for integrated developments. Swissôtel Cairo West reflects our confidence in the market and our commitment to delivering projects that are future-ready.”

Mostafa Talha, chairman of Saoud Urban Development described the Swissôtel West Cairo partnership as a “defining milestone for Saoud Urban Development.” “While our group is built on a strong legacy of multi-sector excellence, this landmark project serves as a transformative catalyst,” he said.

Upon completion, Swissôtel Cairo West is expected to become a prominent new destination in West Cairo. The project further reinforces Accor’s leadership in the market. The group has been present in Egypt for nearly 45 years, underlining its long-term commitment to the country’s development.
