Development kicks off for i8 Hotels Middle East’s first hybrid co-living hotel in Dubai

Arbah Capital and Strategic Housing Group (SHG) have announced the launch of the development phase of the innovative i8 Hotels at DIC, which is scheduled to be delivered in 2024. The property will be the first in a USD 500 million portfolio between the two parties.

Strategically located in the heart of Dubai Internet City (DIC), the 256-room property is set to feature eateries, common kitchen lounges and laundry facilities. Guests and residents will also benefit from versatile co-working, social and entertainment spaces, as well as interactive fitness amenities, a mini-mart and much more.

Innov8 Living’s hybrid hospitality model provides flexibility for short-term visitors and long-term residents, with various lease options and services. Its interiors reflect urban living and high-quality design, which create a sense of community. Open-plan spaces blend effortlessly with modern materials and colors.

Mahmood Al-Kooheji, CEO of Arbah Capital, said: “We are very excited to launch this brand, which we are confident will deliver tremendous value to both prospective tenants and our investors. This is just the first in a series of investments we will make in developing a broad portfolio of innovative properties, and we are looking forward to exploring further opportunities throughout the region.”

SHG will leverage the expertise and wealth of experience it has gained in developing and operating over 5,000 beds in the GCC region to ensure that exceptional brand standards are achieved and the vision of the appointed architects, FACE, is brought to life throughout the property.

In parallel to the development of the Dubai property, Arbah Capital and Strategic Housing Group are looking into expansion opportunities across the region. The joint-venture partners intend to develop hybrid hotels and co-living residences internationally in dynamic cities in the vicinity of technology hubs, financial and commercial centers, work districts, medical precincts, airports and industrial zones.
