ATTAL reveals its revamped website during an awareness campaign

During an awareness campaign around travel accreditation, the Association of Travel and Tourist Agents in Lebanon (ATTAL) held a press conference in partnership and in the presence of Lebanon’s Minister of Tourism, Eng. Walid Nassar, and the chairman of the board and director general of Middle East Airlines, Mohamad El Hout, where the association unveiled its revamped website. The event was attended by VIPs, the press, associations, tourism syndicates, as well as ATTAL’s board and members.

During the opening, Maurice Matta emphasized the importance of tourism in Lebanon and the initiatives and opportunities launched by Lebanese creative minds. While, Jean Abboud, president of ATTAL, stated that: “Our mission is to encourage inbound and outbound passengers. Joining forces with the Ministry of Tourism, among others, we succeeded in boosting local tourism by spotlighting new players, such as boutique hotels and guesthouses, and boosting Lebanon’s image”.

Lina Sinno, general manager of ATTAL, confirmed that her number one mission since she joined the association less than a year ago has been to modernize and revamp the website. She said that the modern website has a friendly responsive interface to facilitate the travel experience. She also revealed the importance of the awareness campaign around travel accreditation.

Mohamad El Hout, chairman of the board and director general of the Middle East Airlines, highlighted the company’s role in securing the latest available equipment in the airline industry despite the ongoing turmoil and challenges. He added that MEA has recorded considerable growth and has welcomed new aircraft, thereby optimizing the fleet and elevating the on-board travel experience.

H.E. Walid Nassar emphasized the importance of the travel and tourism sectors vis-à-vis the country’s economy, reiterating the success of Lebanon’s recent summer campaign, “Ahla Bi Hal Talle”, which yielded positive results. He also acknowledged the hard work of ATTAL to enhance the country’s image both locally and abroad.
