CMA CGM acquires Fattal Group to expand regional logistics

CMA CGM Group announces the acquisition of Fattal Group, strengthening logistics capabilities and expanding distribution reach across MENA markets.

The agreement covers 100-percent ownership, with completion expected in the third quarter of 2026 pending all required regulatory approvals. Additionally, the transaction reinforces CMA CGM’s strategy to build end-to-end logistics solutions by integrating downstream distribution capabilities closer to consumers. Moreover, the acquisition strengthens presence in fast-growing MENA markets while creating value for customers, partners and broader regional economies.

Fattal Group brings decades of distribution expertise, established brand partnerships and market penetration across multiple consumer and healthcare sectors. Furthermore, the combined entity is expected to leverage operational synergies, enhance supply chain efficiency and accelerate growth across regional markets.

Rodolphe Saadé, chairman and CEO of CMA CGM Group, commented on the acquisition. He said: “This acquisition represents a key milestone in our ambition to become a global leader in end-to-end logistics and supply chain solutions. By integrating Fattal’s strong distribution platform, we are expanding our capabilities downstream, closer to end markets and consumers. Together, we will leverage our combined strengths to drive growth, deepen our presence in fast-growing MENA markets and deliver greater value to our customers and partners. This transaction also reflects our continued confidence in Lebanon and our commitment to supporting its long-term development.”

Caroline Fattal, chairwoman of the Fattal Group, expressed her enthusiasm. CMA CGM operates in 177 countries with maritime, logistics and air cargo networks, supported by thousands of employees worldwide. As for Fattal Group, it operates across eight countries. It distributes consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics through established warehousing, promotion, and distribution platforms.
