Les Clefs d’Or UAE hosts Grand Educational Day in Dubai

The prestigious association, Les Clefs d’Or, held its much-awaited event themed ‘Be Inspired’ at Rajmahal Theatre, located in Dubai Parks and Resorts. More than 350 hospitality professionals attended the Grand Educational Day filled with inspiring panel discussions by hospitality leaders sharing their insights alongside with high profile keynote speaker sessions.

As part of the welcome speech, Abey Sam National President Les Clefs d’Or UAE and the UICH Zone Director for Arabian and Western Asia, spoke about the importance of networking among hospitality associations globally.

Chief Commercial Officer Expo 2020, Sanjiv Khosla, presented all major updates regarding the world’s greatest exhibition, which will take place between 20 October 2020 and 10 April 2021 in Dubai.

The first educational panel titled ‘Why Dubai’ was attended by Suhaila Saqer Gobaash, Director of Events and Festivals DTCM and Nijat Aliyev, Board Member and Managing Director and Owner’s Representative of Sofitel The Palm Resort. The topic created interesting and engaging discussions for our future leaders highlighting potentially-promising projects in Dubai.

The Author of ‘Kiss the Rebel’, Phil Bedford held his highly anticipated networking presentation stating, “True networkers have a deep and broad network. They always know ‘someone who can’ or they can find ‘someone who can’ solve any problem.”

The second panel saw numerous GMs from top hospitality brands leading the discussions based on the topic of ‘Emotional Intelligence and Customer Service’. In attendance were Mark Kirby, Area GM Address Downtown Hotels; Bill Keffer Cluster GM of JW Marriott Marquis Dubai; Timothy Kelly, Executive VP and Managing Director of Atlantis The Palm and The Royal Atlantis; Mathieu Van Alphen, Area GM of Dubai Festival City Hotels and GM of Intercontinental Hotel Dubai Festival City and Victor Chalfoun, GM of Waldorf Astoria DIFC.
