Saadeddine Zeidan

Saadeddine Zeidan, GM of Lebanese catering firm Socrate, talks challenges, trends and expansion into Beirut Souks with a reimagined restaurant concept and experience.

What differentiates your catering company from your competitors?

With over 60 years of market experience, our dedication to quality service and personalization consistently sets us apart from others. Moreover, whether it’s a private dinner, corporate event or wedding, we strive to create unforgettable experiences, not just serve meals.

What are your biggest challenges in catering and how do you overcome them?

One of our biggest challenges is delivering personalized experiences while maintaining efficiency and consistency throughout every client interaction and service. Consequently, to address this, we foster strong collaboration across departments. Thus, we ensure everyone remains fully aligned with each client’s specific goals and expectations.

What catering trends are you exploring this year?

We’re seeing a growing demand for interactive food stations and trendy dining experiences. Furthermore, one needs to think chef-led carving stations, build-your-own bowls and gourmet grazing tables. Moreover, sustainability is also front of mind.

What other news can you share with our readers?

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new restaurant in Downtown Beirut Souks, a project we’re truly optimistic about. Looking ahead, we believe in Lebanon’s promising future and are proud to be part of its evolving culinary landscape. More than just a new location, the restaurant has been fully reimagined with a new design and refreshed dining concept. Guests can expect our signature flavors presented through creative dishes, artistic plating, and an elevated overall experience. After months of preparation, we’re excited to finally open our doors and welcome the community to this vibrant new space.
