In the hot seat: Ali Noor, director of Kaylani Food Center

Ali Noor, director of Kaylani Food Center, tells us about Kaylani Food Center’s latest activities.

What does Kaylani Food Center specialize in?
Established in 1991, Kaylani Food Center is an importer and supplier of chilled, frozen and dry foodstuffs from around the world to the horeca trade, retail and wholesale sectors. We also supply corporate entities, such as airline caterers. The quality of our food products and the dedication of our team are the main reasons behind our success and continuity.

Why did you choose HORECA Jordan as the place to release your US CAB Deli Meats range?
HORECA Jordan is an excellent event that’s attended by GMs, chefs, culinary enthusiasts, owners and others working in the hospitality and food industries sectors. It presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase and share new products with the culinary sector.

Our newly released Halal US CAB Deli Meats and Devanco ranges of turkey meats, have been popular in Jordan and the region as the Middle Eastern market appreciates natural meats with the least amount of processing. Our US Deli Meats range distinguishes itself from others due to its high-pressure processing.

Howard Bender, chef director of USA-based Devanco Foods, teamed up with Kaylani Foods to launch a full line of premium deli cuts at the HORECA exhibition in Amman, Jordan. Using the Certified Angus Beef brand and halal raw materials, Bender and his team developed a product range that includes corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, salami, bologna and a 14-hour slow-smoked brisket.

She studied Business Management and earned a Masters degree from Saint Joseph University (USJ), her thesis was published in the Proche-Orient, Études en Management book. She then pursued a career in the hospitality industry but didn’t give up writing, that is why she launched the Four Points by Sheraton Le Verdun Newsletter. Her love for the industry and journalism led her to Hospitality Services - the organizers of the HORECA trade show in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan, as well as Salon Du Chocolat, Beirut Cooking Festival, Whisky Live and other regional shows.
