Full closures
A number of Dubai’s leading hotels have opted for full closures to carry out major renovation programs. This approach allows teams to implement comprehensive upgrades across all areas.
Jumeirah Burj Al Arab stands as one of Dubai’s most iconic luxury hotels, known for its sail shaped design and ultra premium positioning. Since opening in 1999, the all suite property has delivered high end hospitality through personalized service, duplex suites and destination dining.
The hotel closed in April 2026 for an 18 month refurbishment. In addition, French architect Tristan Auer leads the project. This upgrade marks its first major renovation since opening. Reopening is expected in late 2027.
Armani Hotel Dubai sits within Burj Khalifa and reflects Giorgio Armani’s minimalist design across its spaces. The hotel spans from the concourse level to level 39 and offers refined rooms, curated dining and a design focused guest experience.
The hotel closed on April 1, 2026 for a full renovation. Furthermore, the team plans to complete the project in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Park Hyatt Dubai offers a resort style setting along Dubai Creek, with landscaped gardens and marina views. Moreover, the hotel provides spacious rooms, waterfront dining and a calm environment, making it a strong choice for leisure travelers.
The hotel will close on May 1, 2026 for six months. As a result, the team will complete the final phase of its upgrade. The hotel plans to reopen in November 2026.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City operates in one of Dubai’s key business districts. The hotel serves corporate and long stay guests with practical rooms, meeting spaces and multiple dining outlets. In addition, its central location supports easy access across the city.
The hotel will close on April 30, 2026 for renovation. Furthermore, a new management team will relaunch the property in 2027 following a repositioning.
Partial closures
As several hotels close fully, others continue operations while upgrading key areas. Therefore, guests still access selected services during renovation periods.
The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm offers a modern luxury stay on Palm Jumeirah, with skyline views and direct access to Nakheel Mall. In addition, the hotel features St Regis Gardens, which hosts several high end dining venues alongside its signature butler service.
The hotel took its rooms offline in mid April 2026 and will continue work until August 31, 2026. However, restaurants at St Regis Gardens, including SushiSamba, remain open during this period.
JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai
JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai rises in Business Bay as one of the world’s tallest hotels. The property includes 1,608 rooms and suites, a wide range of restaurants and large event spaces. Moreover, it serves both business and leisure travelers.
