Babylon Rotana Hotel Baghdad’s new GM

Rotana Hotel Management recently appointed Hussein Hachem GM of its Babylon hotel in Baghdad. He is an industry veteran with +40 years of experience and is set to introduce a unique guest experience to the hotel. Hachem is regarded as one of Rotana’s most experienced GMs and an exceptional leader, as well as an active supporter of several environmental and charity initiatives that received numerous awards throughout the region.

He has been part of the Rotana team for the past 26 years, who in his current new role will lead all aspects of the hotels’ operations, including the management of guest relations, human resources, communication strategy development/execution, as well as the maximization of sales and profitability. Commenting on his new appointment, Hachem said, “I am delighted to be at Babylon Rotana hotel in Baghdad. I eagerly look forward to working with the distinguished team that has achieved a significant level of excellence in its service offerings. Together, we will continue the march to success and better achievements to serve the hotel, which is well-known as a top destination for the community in Baghdad.”

As the new GM, he will be the key leader overseeing the hotel operations consisting of 284 rooms and suites, four food and beverage outlets, a health club, tennis courts, two Olympic-size indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spa, in addition to seven fully-equipped meeting and event venues. With his solid expertise in the hospitality industry, Hachem aims to bring the hotel greater exposure by introducing new initiatives that will appeal to local and regional clients while ensuring and maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction and service.
