A steady surge in expats living overseas results in demand for passports and consular services

According to the Diaspora Alliance, diaspora numbers have tripled in the last five decades, rising from 75 million to over 230 million.

To cater to the increased demand for passports and consular services in Saudi Arabia, VFS Global, one of the world’s largest outsourcing and technology service companies, has launched Passport on Wheels, a solution offering passport renewal services in towns and cities which lack permanent passport centers, such as Joud, Al Kharj, Al Qurriyat, Arar, Wadi Al Dawasir, Al Khafji, Hafuf and Hafar Al Batin.“According to the United Nations’ data for international migration, over 280 million individuals live and work outside their home country. We are currently working with 18 governments to provide this essential service in 36 countries. Our services were initially in high demand during the pandemic when we delivered passport renewal and delivery services,” reported Jiten Vyas, chief commercial officer of VFS Global.

The service has helped governments deliver safe, high-quality and hassle-free services to expatriates around the world.
