Leyja by NEOM: three boutique hotels to open by 2028

Sustainable hospitality brand Our Habitas has announced the addition of three properties to its experiences-led portfolio.

Located in Leyja, part of NEOM, the three Our Habitas homes provide unique experiences for adventure and wellness enthusiasts. Furthermore, the destination has developed within a natural wadi and carved between high mountains. Consequently, Leyja guests will be able to walk from the destination’s experience center to each property.

About the Our Habitas Hotels in Leyja

Designed by world-leading architects, the homes will feature 120 rooms and suites split equally across the three properties:

  • Home of Adventure: the design for Home of Adventure traces the topography of the wadi and forms an out-of-this-world appearance, thereby allowing guests to seamlessly embrace rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding and multi-day treks.
  • Oasis: situated further into the wadi, Oasis is a property that naturally rises alongside the mountains, symbolizing the livable balance between natural protection and strategic innovation. Oasis will pamper guests with stargazing rituals and culinary delights, including a chef in residence program.
  • Home of Wellness: a highly reflective piece of architecture, the Home of Wellness mirrors the extraordinary landscape surrounding it. The property will play host to global longevity experts while blending innovative wellness practices with ancient rituals.

Guest-centered experiences

It is a place where the future meets history and technology meets humanity. All journeys will commence at the coastal experience center, at the entrance of the wadi. Upon arrival, guests experience Our Habitas’ signature five-minute welcome ceremony, grounding them in their purpose and journey intentions before exploring the region.
The Our Habitas mission of building deeper human connection is a core theme across all of their homes. Guests can discover nature with guided wadi walks, mountain biking, hiking and a range of adventure activities. Furthermore, the Our Habitas’ signature ephemeral experiences will also be tucked away in secret corners of the valley. These dynamic experiences follow the shifting light, luring guests to explore every corner of the valley.

Habitas’ co-founder and CEO, Oliver Ripley, stated: “This project is truly unique and visionary. The natural beauty is otherworldly, the architecture and design remarkable and the experience will offer an ever-deeper journey of discovery.”

“Visitors to Leyja can expect to be enchanted by Habitas with a personalized experience,” added Chris Newman, ED of NEOM Hotel DivisionJeremy Lester, NEOM ED of Gulf of Aqaba, said: “Leyja blends natural and developed landscapes in a sustainable manner.”

The partnership between Our Habitas and NEOM was unveiled in a metaverse environment, mirroring the hotels’ stunning location.
