The holistic architectural and design approach

For the second year running, GM Architects was elected one of the region’s most prominent firms in Architectural Digest’s annual Top 50 Middle Eastern companies. Established in 1996 in Beirut with a second branch established in Abu Dhabi in 2006, Galal Mahmoud, its founder has plenty to revel at considering that some of the other companies that made the cut are much larger and highly-reputed global firms.

Commenting, Mahmoud said, “There has always been an undeniable link between the hospitality industry and architecture. That relationship has become evidently-stronger today and matured in a sense necessitating architects to pay equal emphasis both on the internal as well as external aspects of any design. Luckily, our architects have extensive experience in architecture and interior design, which goes a long way in allowing us to execute some of the region’s notable projects. And, at a time when experiential architecture is becoming a must, designing all aspects of any given structure so as to allow it to naturally flow is central to the guest experience in hospitality. At the moment, we are working on five projects in Dubai. One of these is a “3” Accor Hotel Combo and a Rotana hotel on Sheikh Zayed road.”
