The UVL promoted 19 Lebanese wines in Amsterdam

The Union Vinicole du Liban (UVL), which organizes yearly events to promote the finest Lebanese wines abroad, held this year’s edition in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Nineteen Lebanese wineries showcased their wines to a selective public of more than 200 people who are part of the professional world of restoration, hotel trade, distribution, and the local press.

A strong supporter of Lebanese wine producers, the Ambassador of Lebanon to the Netherlands, His Excellency Abdel Sattar Issa, was present during the event.

After much success in the Netherlands, the UVL has managed to celebrate Lebanon and its national wines and is planning on participating in the Lebanese Wine Days in Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland on June 11 and 14 – an event organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture’s Directorate General. All these activities clearly demonstrate the dynamism of the Lebanese wine sector, as it is vital that the Lebanese public appreciates the production of qualitative local wines and is aware of the wine industry’s important contribution to the national economic plan.

President of UVL, Zafer Chaoui, said: “Thanks to an active wine industry, Lebanon is shining abroad and rubbing shoulders with worldwide wine producers that have been operating for so many years. Wine culture is extremely important in Lebanon, and to be able to preserve it, modernize it, and share it with the world is an absolute honor.”
