David Todd appointed Minor International’s vice president of operations  

After nearly six years with IHG Hotels and Resorts, David Todd has joined Minor Hotels as vice president of Middle East operations, reporting to Amir Golbarg, SVP of Middle East and Africa operations.

Todd brings to the role two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. His long career with IHG began with an EAM position at InterContinental Semiramis in Cairo. He later served as resident manager at Oman’s Al Bustan Palace and subsequently worked as general manager of Crowne Plaza Muscat before taking on his first directorial role as the director of operations support and franchising MEA.
Todd was general manager of the InterContinental Doha The City for a year before becoming the director of operations for IHG in Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. He rejoined IHG in 2017 as senior director of new hotels after serving as Millennium’s VP of operations MEA. His most recent position was as the MEA’s head of operations, which he held for three years.
In his new role, Todd will be responsible for overseeing the operations and development of Minor Hotels’ portfolio of hotels in the Middle East, including the Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, Oaks and Tivoli brands. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing the group’s growth strategy in the region.

Minor Hotels operates the Anantara, NH Collection, Avani, Tivoli, Oaks and other brands. The flagship Anantara brand has a strong presence in the Middle East, with three hotels in Dubai, two in Qatar and five in Abu Dhabi.
