Staying ahead with Samir Arora, cluster GM at Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai

Samir Arora, cluster GM for R Hotels at Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai, reveals how to remain competitive in Dubai’s dynamic market.

What does Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai bring to the city’s hospitality landscape?

Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai brings a unique blend of indulgence, comfort and convenience to Dubai’s thriving hospitality scene. Located directly in view of the iconic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains, our hotel offers a prime location. This location is unparalleled for leisure and business visitors alike. Our large units, equipped with fully fitted kitchens, provide flexibility and exceptional value. Especially for families, this feature is invaluable.

Moreover, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, consistently earning high ratings across customer satisfaction tools. Our strategic location, proximity to local attractions and the people that make up our great team are significant factors. These elements make Ramada by Wyndham Downtown a preferred choice for both leisure and business travelers. Consequently, we enhance their overall Dubai experience.

In your opinion, how does a hotel enhance the overall experience of visitors to a city?

I believe a hotel significantly enhances the overall experience of visitors and can even make or break a trip. A good hotel offers a welcoming and comfortable environment that serves as a home away from home. After what can sometimes be a long flight or overnight travel, it’s important that guests feel that comfort. The sense of well-being from the moment they step through the door is crucial.

Moreover, having a convenient base from which to explore the city or attend business is important. At Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai, we offer close proximity to some of the city’s most sought-after attractions. We are also near key business districts, which is highly beneficial for business travelers. Above all, however, I believe it’s the people that truly make the experience memorable.

In addition, we have many repeat guests and positive referrals, demonstrating the value and appreciation of the human touch. Going above and beyond and making genuine connections with your guests is priceless.

How can a hotel remain competitive in a fierce market like Dubai?

I think there are three key elements needed to remain competitive. First, you must prioritize exceptional service. Offering a strategic location for your customer base is equally important. Additionally, investing in ongoing innovation is crucial.

Delivering personalized experiences and maintaining high standards of customer service are absolutely essential. Visitors have come to expect this from Dubai due to the high standard of hospitality. Not everybody wants high-end luxury and the price tag that comes with it. However, everybody is looking for great, friendly service.

A good location near key attractions or business hubs will enhance convenience. This, in turn, attracts potential guests. Finally, continuous investment in staff training, development, and regular updates to facilities is crucial. Embracing the latest technologies for operational efficiency and guest satisfaction is also important.

By focusing on these areas, a hotel can differentiate itself. Consequently, it can maintain a strong position in Dubai’s dynamic hospitality industry.

What are your plans for Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai?

We have some very exciting plans for Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai, which includes a full-scale renovation. Starting with the leisure facilities this summer, the renovation will extend to all rooms and amenities within the hotel. This refurbishment will further elevate our property in line with our commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.

We’re excited to see the final result and welcome guests to enjoy the hotel with a new look and feel. By continuously updating our product and services, we ensure that we meet the evolving needs of our guests. Additionally, we continue to be a trusted service provider.

Our goal is to remain a top choice for both leisure and business travelers. We aim to offer unmatched value and comfort in downtown Dubai.
