Renowned Lebanese F&B concept Barbar to expand in Egypt

Lebanese F&B food chain Barbar will debut in New Cairo in January 2022. Barbar had announced expansion activity covering several Arab countries, including the opening of 10 restaurants in Egypt.

The new branch is set to open on The Drive – Ring Road, with capacity to accommodate 400 customers over 1,200 square meters, making it one of the largest Barbar branches in the Middle East. The restaurant will offer all kinds of manakish, sandwiches, grills, shawarma, cocktail juices and mezzes.

Ahmed Eid, Ziad Hossam and Omar El Deeb, who previously combined their efforts and founded Eaten, decided to acquire the Barbar franchise to launch the project.

Eid has extensive experience in the field and is known for his unique approach that aims to change the way Egyptians perceive the dining experience.

Hossam created his first project, The Drive, after intensive research of the Egyptian economy and changing consumer behaviors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Al-Deeb has a great deal of experience in understanding customer requirements, which he has acquired from studying quick-service restaurants.
