VINITECH-SIFEL is set to mark its 23rd edition

VINITECH-SIFEL, the global event for innovation and discussion in the wine, tree- and vegetable-growing sectors, will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2022, at the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre. The biannual event is forecast to attract 900 exhibitors, with over 70 talks and forums planned. Hot topics will include innovation, experience-sharing, scientific and technical meetings.

A driving force behind the ever-changing sectors since 1977, the event brings together professionals for inspiring dialog.

Delphine Demade, the show director, says: “With industry-wide engagement, VINITECH-SIFEL 2022 continues to support trade professionals as they face new technological, economic and environmental challenges. This is why we remain such a relevant resource for the whole industry – now more than ever. Our focus is on providing solutions, knowledge and inspiration to nurture professional development and practices, to help the trade expand what they offer, with new approaches and new services along the customer journey. Drawing on a program of over 70 talks and forums, stakeholders will be ready to tackle today’s burning issues. Ultimately, VINITECH-SIFEL will broaden our audience’s horizons through well-informed debates, bringing together representatives from every part of the industry and fostering constructive dialog.”

This year’s highlights include:

  • The INVENIO symposium: “Agrivoltaics, Fruits and Vegetables and viticulture,” addressing the topic of agrivoltaics as a strategy for decarbonization and energy self-sufficiency.
  • The symposium organized by the IFV and ISVV: “Vines in revolution: between tradition and innovations,” highlighting the potential within the many forgotten and historic varieties, the inclusion of new varieties into AOC (VIFA) and rootstocks.
  • The Wine Economic Symposium, in partnership with the INSEEC Wine Chair, has two key sessions of public dialogue between academic researchers and wine producers, allowing constructive input on their visions on economics: “the sector in 2025,” together with “the barriers to trade.”
  • Continuation of the Vinipack symposium, dedicated to innovation in packaging. The theme will be “Pick your packaging to boost your sales.”
