Grand Hyatt Amman, in cooperation with the Education for Employment Jordan (EFE Jordan), recently launched the Future Hotelier Academy.
Education for Employment Jordan is a non-profit organization that leads a national initiative to create job opportunities for Jordanian male and female job seekers, by developing vocational, technical and administrative training programs specifically designed to meet the needs of the labor market.
The project aims to empower youth from both genders in the hospitality sector to help reduce the unemployment ratio in Jordan by providing beneficiaries with the necessary skills to find job opportunities in the hospitality sector.
Within this cooperation, a free training program will be held at Grand Hyatt Amman over a period of six months and will include training on a number of skills such as personal expertise, customer service and the English language, in addition to on-the-job training in the hospitality sector, which keeps up to date with the needs of the labor market in three main sectors: food and beverage, front office and housekeeping.
Ghadeer Khuffash, CEO of Education for Employment-Jordan (EFE-Jordan), said: “This academy is a great initiative because it provides opportunities for youths interested in the hospitality sector, specifically hotels, to train at the hotel and acquire the required skills and real-life hotel experience to facilitate their entry into the labor market with high confidence.”
Ben Wozny, general manager of Grand Hyatt Amman, said: “With the Future Hotelier Academy, we want to make sure that we give real training opportunities to the youths in the local community, enabling them to engage in the labor market and help reduce the unemployment rate that has risen as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. We want to encourage young people to work in an environment that is enjoyable and convenient for all.”
