Jean-Paul Dantil appointed GM of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara

Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara has appointed Jean-Paul Dantil as its new general manager.

With more than 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including roles as general manager and managing director roles, Dantil brings a wealth of knowledge of commercial, operational and brand knowledge to the award-winning resort, leading its 350-plus team with passion.

He started off as a front office manager at hotels and resorts in Micronesia and Turks and Caicos, before becoming a managing partner at Chris Garrod Partnership, one of the world’s leading hotel procurement companies.

In 2011, Dantil managed world-class hotels, including Ritz Carlton in Vienna and Bahrain, and a cluster of Almanac hotels across Europe.

As opening general manager of the Kimpton St. Honore in Paris, Dantil was responsible for establishing the flagship of the brand in 2020, including recruiting an entire team and operating the 149-room luxury hotel. He was interim general manager at Six Senses Ibiza in his most recent role.

Since being appointed GM of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, Dantil has launched several new initiatives, partnerships and a new takeover of the resort retail space, Souk Secrets.

She is currently the Publications Executive of Hospitality News Middle East, Taste & Flavors and Lebanon Traveler. It is with ultimate devotion for her magazines that she demonstrates her hospitality savoir-faire.
