Atelier House to open its second Mohalla restaurant in Saudi Arabia

Dubai’s homegrown Indian street food concept is scheduled to open at Riyadh Front in December 2022.

Commenting on the announcement, Panchali Mahendra, managing director of Atelier House, said: “Mohalla is the first homegrown Indian restaurant concept to be exported to KSA, and we are proud and delighted to be able to continue this expansion in such a short space of time. The launch of Mohalla’s first KSA outpost earlier this year was a stepping stone into the Saudi market and due to the growing demand from KSA’s diners and Mohalla’s remarkably successful performance, the second opening in Riyadh came naturally to us. Mohalla’s new location at Riyadh Front will be 20 percent bigger than its original sister venue at The Esplanade in Riyadh, with the capacity to seat 180 guests, allowing us to cater to a larger clientele. This is just the start of Mohalla’s journey in KSA, with more outlets confirmed to open across the kingdom over the coming years.”

Mohalla’s chef Adwait Anantwar added: “Mohalla is a restaurant that diners can visit multiple times a week without getting bored of the food thanks to a varied offering that is very homely and minimalistic. Through extensive training, we have been able to achieve an incredible level of consistency across all Mohalla outlets, which is why our guests return to Mohalla time and time again to enjoy their favorite dishes.”

Mohalla’s Riyadh Front venue will keep in line with the aesthetic of the brand’s existing outlets while also featuring new, exciting design elements, promising to transport guests to the eclectic streets of India. The new outpost’s menu will offer a lot of dishes from existing Mohalla restaurants, including signature crowd favorites such as Raj Kachori, Avocado Papdi Chaat, Tender Chicken Kebab and Rayalaseema Prawn Curry, with some new additions to surprise and delight returning diners.
