InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Jordan is, yet again, pursuing new business opportunities related to promoting Jordan as the next ideal destination through an initiative in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB).

To that end, IHG’s sales team organized a two-day trip to Lebanon in June to explore new markets and network with prominent corporate clients in various fields to generate more traffic to Jordan, specifically to IHG properties as the ultimate choice for luxury, service and business.

The team was comprised of Mark Ryan, commercial director (UAE, Levant and Africa), Oussama Massoud, director of Levant operations, GM Carlos Malliaroudakis, Philma Gomes, director of sales and marketing, Fadi Samaan, sales director and Alia Ghantous, conference and events director for InterContinental Hotels Jordan. Other prominent members were Crowne Plaza Amman’s sales and marketing director Ziad Fostuq, as well as sales director Amer Khoury for Crowne Plaza Dead Sea and Holiday Inn Dead Sea Hotels and Resorts.

In his welcoming speech, Oussama Massoud, IHG director of Levant operations said, “We are so pleased to be here together in Beirut. On the final day of the trip, a lavish cocktail reception was held at IHG Phoenicia in the presence of the deputy Jordanian Ambassador Wafa’a Tayyem. The IHG team thanked its loyal Lebanese clients who choose to stay at IHG properties when visiting Jordan and informed future potential customers about the advantages and benefits of being part of the InterContinental Hotels family. In closing, a short video showcasing Jordan as a touristic, religious, medical and M.I.C.E. destination was shown to cement the two-day initiative.
