As the newly appointed general manager of Habtoor Grand Resort Dubai, Autograph Collection, Khalid Saeed is planning to take the property to an even higher level. We find out what’s in store from the man himself.

How has your career in hospitality prepared you for this role?

My career in hospitality has been a journey of growth and development. Thus, it has prepared me for the role of general manager at Habtoor Grand Resort Dubai, Autograph Collection. Back in 2002, I was a night manager at the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai. There, I learned the fundamentals of guest services and hotel operations. Subsequently, over the years, I steadily rose through the ranks to become the front office manager in 2007. In 2009, I was entrusted with the role of overseeing the entire room operations as part of the front office manager task force. It was a significant responsibility that further honed my skills. Later that year, I was promoted to room division manager. In 2014, I joined Habtoor Grand as hotel manager. This diverse experience has, therefore, equipped me to lead and manage the resort effectively.

How do you envision the experiences for guests at Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection?

At Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection, we are dedicated to delivering one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests. I strive to create a unique and unforgettable stay, prioritizing their safety and comfort above all else. Our dedicated team goes the extra mile to exceed guests’ expectations. Our goal is to provide more than just accommodation. Therefore, we serve as a gateway to Dubai’s culture and attractions, enabling guests to create lasting memories during their stay.

What is your view of the hospitality sector in Dubai?

The hospitality sector in Dubai is dynamic and constantly changing. Therefore, evaluating it is challenging. However, my perspective revolves around continuous service improvement and aligning ourselves with evolving trends. I focus on continuing to serve our guests with a deep understanding of their needs, enabling me to provide them with exceptional service. Dubai remains a global hub for tourism. At Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection we provide the highest luxury service and adapt to the diverse demands of our guests.

What are your plans for the future of the resort?

My vision is to align with the evolving trends. Sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives will be at the forefront of our operations as I aim to reduce our environmental footprint. Additionally, I seek to prioritize more experiential travel opportunities. Thus, our resort will become a destination where guests can immerse themselves in the culture, activities and unique offerings of Dubai. I want it to be more than just a place to stay, rather a key part of our guests’ memorable experiences in this dynamic city.
