Bahrain unveils GCC tourism campaign

BAHRAIN

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) launches a major regional tourism campaign targeting GCC travelers ahead of Bahrain’s upcoming summer entertainment and hospitality season.

The initiative promotes a packed calendar featuring concerts, cultural events, sports activities and family focused attractions hosted across Bahrain throughout upcoming months. Additionally, the campaign coincides with live entertainment experiences organized alongside Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre and leading tourism destinations nationally.

Bahrain will host the third edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival at Exhibition World Bahrain during this year’s tourism season. Visitors can also explore shopping festivals, dining experiences, family attractions and sporting events hosted across Bahrain’s major malls and entertainment destinations. Accordingly, the tourism strategy aims strengthening Bahrain’s position as a preferred regional destination for short holidays, weekend escapes and family travel.

Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA,  said: “This initiative reflects BTEA’s continued efforts strengthening Bahrain’s position as a preferred destination for GCC families and visitors regionally. It showcases Bahrain as an accessible destination offering entertainment, culture, sports, shopping, dining and family activities through integrated tourism experiences. We look forward welcoming GCC visitors enjoying vibrant events within lively, safe environments supported through advanced tourism infrastructure nationwide.”

The campaign introduces hotel offers, travel packages and shopping promotions developed through partnerships alongside Bahrain’s hospitality and tourism sector stakeholders. The initiative also encourages longer visitor stays through diversified experiences catering toward different interests and age groups. Moreover, Bahrain continues positioning itself competitively within the GCC tourism market through integrated entertainment offerings and year round visitor engagement initiatives nationally. Industry stakeholders expect the campaign to increase tourism arrivals and demand during Bahrain’s holiday and summer travel periods.
