Radisson solidifies ME presence with new expansion plans

Radisson Hotel Group has signed 11 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments in 2023, solidifying its presence in the Middle East.

The group has announced ambitious plans to achieve 100 operational hotels in the Middle East by the end of 2026 and 150 properties in operation and under development by 2030 across the region.

Ambitious ME expansion plans

Radisson Hotel Group, with a strong history of agreements and partnerships, focuses strategically on KSA and the UAE. Concurrently, the group is achieving substantial progress within the broader Middle East region, encompassing countries such as Iraq, Oman and Jordan. These efforts underline the group’s ambitious objective of establishing over 90 hotels across its 10 diverse brands.

New properties and agreements

Radisson Hotel Group is observing rapid development in Saudi cities. Park Inn Makkah will cater to international and regional visitors, setting a new standard. The group is planning further expansion in Makkah with Park Inn Makkah Thaker West’s debut. In Jeddah, Vivid Jeddah Hotel, part of Radisson Individuals, will target affluent business and leisure travelers when it opens in Q4 2023. Additionally, Park Inn Riyadh Olaya North, which opens in December, is aligning with Vision 2030.
Furthermore, the group is marking milestones with 2023 signings in Saudi Arabia, including Radisson Hotel Jeddah Tahlia Street (2024) and Radisson Blu Hotel, Hail (2025).
Radisson Hotel Group intends to introduce new properties in Oman, namely Muscat Levatio Suites (Radisson Individuals) and Radisson Hotel Muscat Panorama. In addition, the group has signed agreements for Park Inn by Radisson Resort Bimmah and Radisson Serviced Apartments Salalah.
In Jordan, Radisson Blu Hotel, Amman Galleria Mall is opening this year, offering 178 keys for convenience and luxury. Radisson Hotel & Residences Erbil in Iraq’s Erbil city opens in October, marking a significant development for the group.
Commenting on the group’s expansion plans in the region, Elie Milky, Radisson’s VP of development ME Greece, Cyprus and Pakistan, said: “Our commitment to excellence drives us to unveil more hotels with the addition of more than 11 properties. As we strengthen our presence, we eagerly anticipate exceptional new properties. We set to redefine accommodation in holy cities, to our upcoming properties elsewhere in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, as well as in Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan and Kuwait.”
With 77 properties in the Middle East and over 11,600 keys, Radisson Hotel Group is meeting the evolving needs of customers in the flourishing leisure and business travel sector.
