HostMilano returns “live,” with over 1,000 exhibitors

The 2021 edition of HostMilano promises to be the ideal marketplace to meet the most important faces of professional hospitality, starting with 1,100 exhibitors who have already confirmed their presence. Exhibitors are set to represent more than 40 countries, including markets such as Germany, France, Spain, USA, Portugal, Holland, Greece and the United Kingdom.

Areas such as professional catering (38 percent), bar coffee machines vending (33 percent) and tableware technology (18 percent) account for 89 percent of the event.

HostMilano and TUTTOFOOD, the leading event within the agri-food ecosystem, will be held simultaneously in order to allow stakeholders to evaluate the new consumer habits developed after the pandemic and understand the possible areas of hybridization.

The event will also be present online through a “mymatching” platform, with open agendas and pre-scheduled meetings with selected exhibitors that will increase the possibilities of networking.

Faithful to its tradition as a trendsetter for the entire Horeca supply chain, the next edition of HostMilano will also offer, an agenda of over 800 events — national and international competitions, show-cooking, in-depth seminars — divided among its macro-areas.

The SMART Label – Host Innovation Award will be open to all innovative companies. A total of 79 applications were submitted this year, with more than half of the aspiring winners coming from the food service equipment and the bar and coffee machines vending segment.

The event also has an agreement with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA),which represents thousands of coffee professionals, to hold the world coffee SCA 2021 Championships – World Barista Championship, World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championship.

The Fiera Milano pavilions will also host the international championships organized by the FIPGC (International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream, Chocolate and Confectionery) with the Tiramisù World Championship and the new concept of International Pastry Award, which will crown the top pastry chefs. The “sweetest” program of the event will be crowned by Art Gallery, showcasing more than 200 works and live activities by Italian and international pastry chefs.

Many other events will take place simultaneously, including the Panettone World Championship, organized by the Academy of Masters of Mother Yeast and Italian Panettone. ALTOGA, the Italian National Association of Coffee Roasters, Importers and Food Wholesalers, proposes an agenda full of contests and events and will animate the Coffee Bar area with the 7th Grand Prix of Italian Coffee Bars, the second World Championship of Latte Art Grading and the tastings of Coffee addition – the itinerary event and coffee tasting corner.
